Discovery Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2023 Technology Education Program. Deadline Dec 16th, 2022.

We are very excited to be entering our 14th year of delivering The Technology Education Program!

The Discovery Foundation provides funding for programs that educate the science and technology sector, from students to senior personnel of companies, about innovation and entrepreneurship, enabling them to grow and prosper. The Foundation is seeking Agents to deliver programs that help us meet our objectives in British Columbia.

What do our programs achieve?

Those involved in science and technology in British Columbia require continual and substantial education in business practices in order to develop and maintain the skills and judgment to create and grow companies that compete locally and internationally. Our Technology Education Program (TEP) provides funding to Agents to educate qualified B.C. residents who demonstrate the desire and capability to explore and upgrade their business skills to help grow world-scale, B.C.-based technology companies. We use a broad definition of technology, including: cleantech/greentech & circular economy, digital media, wireless, life sciences and ICT. Our principal focus is to provide programming that addresses equity, diversity, and inclusion for under-represented groups in the B.C. tech sector, especially those in the non-urban regions.

We partnered with 11 outstanding Agents in 2022 to deliver our programs and we look forward to engaging with more organizations for 2023. If you are interested to learn more about becoming an Agent, reach out today to request the 2023 Technology Education Program application Guidelines.
