Theme: Advocating for Yourself in the Workplace

This event is an opportunity for professional women at all levels to share experiences pertaining to self advocation. Often times, the nature of advocating for yourself can be complex or even political. Whether it's asking for a raise or advocating for a change in workplace culture, our seasoned board of mentors have a plethora of insight to share. The Speed Mentoring Event also will give Attendees the chance to network with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and build relationships. This event will be an invaluable opportunity for women to build confidence and empower themselves whether they are just starting their career or looking to pivot within their role or profession.

Bringing intention into how we build relationships at work can have many benefits - connecting with colleagues in different departments and levels of the organization, improving the efficiency in how we do our work, boosting our sphere of influence and interpersonal skills, making work more fun, and many other advantages.

Join us on May 31 to explore the complex but important themes relating to this topic.

What is speed mentoring?

  • A Speed Mentoring event consists of a series of short, round-table discussions facilitated by one volunteer mentor and up to three mentees.

  • Form new connections with both mentors and mentees from a diverse set of backgrounds.

  • Explore how having a mentor could support you and your career.

  • Gather a range of new perspectives on a challenge you are currently facing.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are important to WCT and our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space to connect.

Share your wisdom and experience by being a mentor yourself

Mentoring is a great way to share your wisdom and develop your own leadership skills. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please email BC@wct-fct.com to learn how.

Get your tickets here. If May 31st doesn’t work for you, there will be 2 more speed mentoring events coming up this year!
