Discovery Foundation Director John Nightingale has passed away.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we relate the news that Discovery Foundation board Director John Nightingale has passed away.

John was a great leader in all he did, possessed a keen intellect, and was fully committed to the conservation of biodiversity.

Our hearts go out to John's family, friends, former colleagues and to all of the ocean life John advocated for.
