Volition & Discovery Foundation present BC Startup Showcase; part of Discovery Foundation’s Regional Investor Readiness Program

On May 12, join us in cheering on eight startups from across British Columbia, who will take the virtual 'stage' to present their investor pitch with goals of getting strategic pitch feedback from industry leaders from the Canadian startup ecosystem.

These entrepreneurs will have 3 minutes to present their pitch in front of an industry panel and 'live' audience.

As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to vote on the audience favourite, as well as engage with entrepreneurs and panel via polls, Q&A and Live Chat. And, if you feel you can support the entrepreneurs or just want to connect, we'll provide space for that as well.

For our part, we are committed to creating a comfortable and engaging space for all who attend.

Interested in pitching? While we hold spots for entrepreneurs from across the province, preference will be given to entrepreneurs who...

  • Are actively raising or intend to raise in the next 12 months

  • Are from rural and/or remote British Columbia

  • Identify within a racialised and/or historically marginalised group/community

Pitch applications will be accepted until 10 PM PST April 28th: Application form coming soon

If you're unsure if you're a good fit (e.g. are not sure you will be "raising" in the next year), we still encourage you to apply as we may have another opportunity available to you and want to ensure that we are made aware of all interested entrepreneurs so that we can adjust application criteria if needed.
